ビートルズをはじめ、数多くの大物アーティストのアレンジ仕事を60年代後半からこなしてきた英国のポップ職人リチャード・アンソニー・ヒューソンの個人プロジェクト、ラー・バンド。宅録エレポップとでも言うべき音像ですが、キラメキのメロディと、独特のスペイシーなサウンドで高い人気を誇り、ハウス/ダンスクラシックの文脈から、コズミック、アンビエントといった需要にも応え続ける稀有な存在として愛好されてきました。
本作はラー・バンドの1985年から1998年の音源を収録しており、『MYSTERY』(1985年)、1987年にリリースされるはずだったもののRCAの経営陣が変わったためにお蔵入りとなった『SOMETHING ABOUT THE MUSIC』 (後にリリース)、そして未発表アルバム『WORLD KEEPS TURNING』に加え、12インチ・ミックス、7インチ・ミックス、リミックス音源をタップリと収録した5枚組。第1弾と並び本作もファン必携のボックスセットとなっています!
